Rodent Damaging in Kolkata Require Rodent Pest Control
The increasing rodent population is posing a threat to the city's infrastructure as rats are digging up the soil below, mayor Firhad Hakim said on Friday. The presence of rats is also a public health risk and there could be an outbreak of diseases, Hakim warned. An engineer of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) said the footpaths along multiple roads in the city have become undulated as rats have dug tunnels underneath, displacing the soil.
