Baiting

Consequently, an effective bait program does not give immediate results but may take 5 days or longer. Baits can be quite effective for long-term control of cockroaches unless the cockroaches have other food sources available to them, baits are usually placed in hidden spots away from the reach of humans and pets.
Tip: Clean the house before the pest controller visits, and keep the house as clean as possible for long-term results. This helps eliminate competing food sources for the insects. Additionally, when the house is clean, roaches will be more easily attracted to bait rather than food sources.
